The Leyton House CG901 was built for the 1990 F1 season, and was powered by a 3.5L Judd EV V8 engine with 6 speed manual gearbox. Designed by Adrian Newey and who along with the likes of Ross Brawn who was also working on the Leyton House engineering team. 1990 was another year dominated by McLaren-Honda, however the 901 proved to be a revelation at the French GP, where Ivan Capelli led much of the race before finishing 2nd in an updated B version of the car which featured an exhaust blown diffuser. Chassis 6 is one of the B versions that was used in the latter part of the 1990 season. The CG901 is a beautifully packaged F1 car and Newey took great care packaging the car as tightly as possible to optimise the aerodynamics of the car.
