1978 Arrows FA1 -Cosworth DFV Formula One Car
Built in 1978, the Arrows FA1 Formula One car was driven by Ricardo Patrese during the first half of the 1978 season, and is one of the latest F1 Cars eligible for Monaco Historic GP. Patrese finished 10th on the car's debut in the Brazilian GP, and took the lead in the South African GP, only for the engine to let go with less than 3 laps remaining.
More recently the FA1 has been raced in the USA, and was maintained by Veloce Motors West for the pervious owner, most recently Geoff Symes based in Atlanta has maintained the car. Recently rebuilt, and with 0 miles engine, the car is available with new FIA Papers (in process) and has a small spares package including spare wheels, nose, and nose mould.
The car is an ideal entry for Masters FIA Formula One or USA F1 and is also one of the latest cars eligible for Monaco Historic GP in 2018.
